Our CIT program is specially designed to provide leadership opportunities while having a fantastic camp experience in a small group setting. This four week program is selective and requires an interview. CIT's live in cabin with campers and a lead counselor. Throughout the four weeks, they gain real-world experience assisting in a variety of program areas such as field games, camp festivals, and more. Certifications for belay instructors and junior lifeguards are available in this program.
The College of Saint Mary offers Summer Academy Programs for young women of color in grades ten through twelve. Participants will receive a $500 scholarship to CSM, engage with a STEAM curriculum, meet professional women in the community, participate in cultural experiences, and reside in the residence halls. The academies also provide an opportunity to meet new friends and learn about the process of selecting and applying to colleges. The Princeton Summer Journalism Program (PSJP), which is housed in the Emma Bloomberg Center for Access and Opportunity at Princeton University, is the only program of its kind offering a free, year-long college preparation and journalism program for high school juniors from limited-income backgrounds. Our mission is to diversify the fields that impact our democracy through the exploration of the important connection between journalism and critical social and political events.
The Urban Journalism Workshop at New York University is designed to develop the next generation of great journalists. A diverse group of 20 high school juniors and seniors attending schools throughout the five boroughs of New York City or in nearby suburbs of the Tri-State metropolitan region (New York, New Jersey and Connecticut only) will come together to spend 10 days attending an intensive and rewarding journalism “boot-camp” held at the Arthur L. Carter Journalism Institute at New York University.
